Urban Highline

Urban Highline is an extreme version of slacklining, that is walking on a line stretched between two buildings in a city. Choosing to cross buildings instead of mountain ranges is not due to lack of time but because of the need to mark our presence in the concrete reality around us, because of the desire to fight its overwhelming and unbending form and the wish to change its unmoving context.

Urban Highline is an international festival, one of the biggest in the world, and the only one entirely dedicated to city centre highlining taking part mostly around historical buildings. Urban Highline in Lublin is the only place in the world where you can walk on 8-10 lines stretched 7 to 40 metres high, 15 to 80 metres long, and placed around historical buildings of the Old Town – the tower of Lublin Cathedral, Trynitarska Tower, Crown Tribunal, Local Government Office and Marshal Office.
