This year marks the 8th time (since 2011) that an international group of artists journeys around the Lublin region in search of the defunct world described by Isaac Bashevis Singer, winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature. The artists accompany Yasha Mazur – the protagonist of “The Magician of Lublin”. Actors, musicians, circus performers and dancers showcase their extraordinary skills in street performances. The artists come from Martinique, Croatia, Italy, England, the Czech Republic and Poland. During a nearly fortnight-long trek, the troupe will visit: Chełm, Piaski, Szczebrzeszyn, Krasnobród, Józefów, Biłgoraj, Tyszowce, Janów Lubelski, Bychawa, Kraśnik and Kock. Last, but not least they will come to Lublin to present the show “The Return of the Magician”. The show has become a permanent fixture at Carnaval Sztukmistrzów, but each time it is presented in a completely new way.
